Tajuddin Ahmed
A former student of Nagari St. Nicholas High School
Tajuddin Ahmed was born on July 23, 1925 at village Dardaria in Kapasia of Gazipur district (the then Dhaka district). He
evidently took first lesson from his parents (the usual and universal way of learning), but his institutional learning began
in the village Maktab and Toll. Then he was educated at Targaon Primary School and Kapasia Minor School. He was a student
of Nagari Christian Missionary High School (Now St Nicholas High School) for sometime and later transferred to St Gregory's
High School in Dhaka where he also became a boyscout. But he did his matriculation from the adjacent Muslim Boys' High School
and was placed fourth in Dhaka Board. He stood third in the Higher Secondary Examination (then Intermediate) and was admitted
into the Department of Economics of the Dhaka University. He was a meritorious student of Economics.
